A fresh Afrobeats connection arrives as Nigerian singer and songwriter Qing Madi joins forces with British-Nigerian DJ and producer DJames on their latest single, “Can’t Wait.” Released on October 1, 2026, the track brings together two artists whose previous musical link-up already earned attention.

“Can’t Wait” serves as a follow-up to their 2024 collaboration, “Love Me,” which appeared on DJames’ Grateful EP. This time, the duo takes a smooth and easygoing approach, pairing Qing Madi’s distinct R&B-leaning vocals with DJames’ Afrobeats production.

Built around a mid-tempo groove, the new single carries a feel-good atmosphere without losing the polished vocal character Qing Madi brings to her records. DJames, meanwhile, provides a rhythmic foundation that keeps the track moving while allowing the vocals to remain central.

The release adds another chapter to the musical partnership between Qing Madi and DJames, following their earlier collaboration and showcasing their ability to create a relaxed Afro-R&B sound.

Fans of contemporary Afrobeats, Afro-R&B, Qing Madi, and DJames can check out “Can’t Wait” and experience their latest musical offering.
