Zuchu – Kucheza Unajua Ft. De Smile

The viral energy surrounding Tanzania’s latest dance trend gets a musical upgrade as WCB Wasafi star Zuchu teams up with rising talent De Smile on “Kucheza Unajua.” Released around September 26, 2026, the high-energy Singeli remix turns a popular social media moment into an official song.

The record draws heavily from the viral “Kama Matua Kumbe Kucheza Unajua” challenge popularised by Matua TZ, which quickly gained traction through dance videos and short-form content. Zuchu’s decision to build on the trend gives the track a strong connection to Tanzania’s current street and social-media culture.

Musically, “Kucheza Unajua” sees Zuchu step outside the melodic Bongo Flava and Afro-pop sound that has defined much of her catalogue. She embraces the rapid pace of Singeli, riding fast percussion and an energetic street-inspired production alongside De Smile.

The collaboration also highlights how viral moments can move beyond social media and become fully developed music releases. With its familiar challenge-inspired concept and dance-focused energy, the song seemed positioned firmly within Tanzania’s fast-moving digital music culture.
