Afrobeats heavyweights Wizkid (Nigeria) and Asake (Nigeria) have officially released their highly anticipated joint EP, titled REAL, Vol. 1, on January 23, 2026.
The project marks their first full collaborative body of work, following the massive success of their 2024 hit single “MMS.”
“REAL,Vol. 1 EP Album” sees both artists blending their unique styles into a cohesive sound that balances smooth melodies with street-ready energy.
Nevertheless, the EP is rooted in Afrobeats while incorporating log drums and Amapiano-adjacent instrumentals, creating a modern, dance-driven atmosphere that still feels deeply African.
Production on the project is largely handled by Magicsticks, the Nigerian hitmaker known for his long-standing creative partnership with Asake.
Not to mention, despite its short runtime, REAL, Vol. 1 delivers impact, showcasing strong chemistry between Wizkid’s laid-back finesse and Asake’s raw, energetic delivery.
