ATK MusiQ Ends Six-Year Hiatus With Expansive Double Album The Return

South African Amapiano collective ATK MusiQ has officially returned with The Return, a landmark studio album released on July 29, 2026. Arriving after six years without a full-length project, the highly anticipated release marks a defining moment for the Soweto-born production team as they reaffirm their influence on the ever-evolving Amapiano sound.

Designed as a 35-track double album, The Return is divided into two unique musical experiences. Disc A: For the Soul embraces the smooth, melodic textures of Soulful Amapiano and Private School Piano, while Disc B: For the Streets shifts the focus to hard-hitting log drums, infectious grooves, and energetic club anthems crafted for dance floors. Rather than simply revisiting the past, the group presents the album as a continuation of their musical journey, reflecting the growth and experience they’ve gained since their early days in Diepkloof.

The project also boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators, featuring standout vocal performances from LeeMcKrazy, Tman Xpress, Mpho Spizzy, Mkeyz, Soulful G, VocalKat, and Tee Tee SA. On the production front, Muziqal Tone, Malemon, Mr Nation Thingz, and Snyper Reloaded contribute to the album’s rich and diverse soundscape.
