The six-track collection presents a carefully crafted love story, with each song serving as a different chapter that captures the highs, struggles, and emotions experienced throughout a relationship.
Released through Darkroom Records and Dero Prod, the EP blends Ugandan Dancehall with Reggae and Afropop influences, showcasing Beenie Gunter’s ability to combine infectious rhythms with meaningful storytelling.
Built around the concept “Every song is a chapter. Every chapter tells a story,” I Loved You highlights Beenie Gunter’s softer and more vulnerable side while maintaining the energetic style that has made him one of Uganda’s notable Dancehall voices.
