The exciting song, produced by Masterkraft, was released on October 8, 2025. It continues the artist’s long tradition of using his music to share wisdom on everyday life and cultural values.
The highlife love song gracefully explores lasting love built on respect and unity. Chimezie’s calm and assured voice is accompanied by a gentle, danceable rhythm, guiding listeners through his vision of a good partnership.
“Ozongadi” follows a period of renewed public attention for the veteran musician. In 2025, Afrobeats star Davido acknowledged Chimezie’s classic “Because of English” as an inspiration for one of his hit singles, sparking wider interest in the highlife icon’s work.
Finally, this led to a new deal with Sony Music Publishing, which will reintroduce his extensive catalog to a global audience
