Nutty O joins forces with Nigerian Afrobeats singer-songwriter Fido on the remix of “Too Much,” a vibrant cross-border collaboration officially released on August 28, 2026. The track serves as the opening song on Nutty O’s 15-track album, Different Root.
Originally released as a solo record by Nutty O in July 2025, “Too Much” returns in a refreshed form with Fido added to the lineup. The collaboration gives the song a broader African appeal, bringing together Zimbabwe’s Zimdancehall sound and Nigeria’s contemporary Afrobeats energy.
Production comes from DJ Tamuka and Infinity Beatz, who combine heavy Zimdancehall rhythms with infectious Afropop percussion. Nutty O brings his rapid, melodic patois delivery, while Fido adds his energetic Afrobeats cadence to create a lively back-and-forth between both artists.
The “Zim x Naija” connection gives “Too Much” its distinctive character, with the two artists showcasing how their different styles can work naturally on the same record. As the opening track of Different Root, the remix sets an energetic tone for Nutty O’s latest album.
