South African producers Deeper Phil and Djy Vino unite with Amapiano heavyweight Kabza De Small on “Deep Currency,” a soulful and atmospheric Amapiano release that arrived on June 19, 2026. Serving as the opening track of their collaborative project “Deepyano Single Pack,” the song sets a rich, immersive tone for the EP.
Built on smooth chord progressions, deep house-inspired textures, and signature Amapiano log drums, “Deep Currency” leans into a more emotional and melodic direction of the genre. The production, handled by Sifiso Bafana Vilakazi (Deeper Phil), Bonga Sibeko, and Kabza De Small (Kabelo Motha), creates a layered soundscape that blends groove with depth and subtle complexity.
Kabza De Small, widely regarded as the “King of Amapiano,” brings his signature touch to the record, elevating its rhythm and harmonic flow while maintaining the track’s soulful identity. His presence adds weight to the collaboration, reinforcing its importance within the evolving Amapiano landscape.
The song is further shaped by writing contributions from Mbali Kanyile Makanya, whose lyrical direction complements the track’s reflective and immersive feel. Together, the creative team delivers a polished balance between deep house influences and modern Amapiano structure.
Released through Piano Hub in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment Africa, “Deep Currency” is now available across major streaming platforms, including Audiomack and YouTube Music. As the lead track from the “Deepyano Single Pack,” it stands as a strong statement of artistic collaboration and sonic experimentation within South Africa’s evolving Amapiano scene.
