Mosotho artist Sannere expands his musical journey with “Pha-Balimo 2,” a massive 30-track album officially released on August 19, 2026.
Hailing from Mokema, Maseru, Sannere has built his sound around a strong connection to Basotho culture. His music blends hip-hop and rap with traditional influences, using Sesotho lyricism to explore identity, heritage, emotion, and everyday experiences.
Pha-Balimo 2 builds on the foundation of his earlier “Pha-Balimo” EP, taking the concept into a much larger project. The album features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Botswana’s legendary Culture Spears and regional artists such as Phephela, Nthethe, Sebotsa, Tekano, Phoka Ea Boroa, Lenonyane, and Milo.
Across 30 tracks, Sannere maintains a strong focus on storytelling and cultural expression. Songs such as “METJOLI,” “KE MOSOTHO,” “REA KULA,” “MOKOROTLO,” “LETAILANA,” and “MABALENG A NTOA” add different perspectives to the expansive project.
