Cooper SA and Tyler ICU close their collaborative EP with “Phata Phata,” a rhythm-driven Amapiano record featuring Dr Peppa, Optimist Music ZA, and Colkaze. Released on August 14, 2026, the song serves as the sixth and final track on One Day in Tembisa.

The track takes a gradual approach to its production, building its energy through deep log drums, layered synth melodies, rolling percussion, and heavy basslines. At approximately 7 minutes and 7 seconds, the extended arrangement gives the instrumental plenty of room to develop while maintaining its dancefloor appeal.

A team of producers contributes to the record’s expansive sound, including Tyler ICU, Sthembiso Mkhatsuwa, Thabo Musa, Siyabonga Msimango, Xolani Ledwaba, and Kutlwano Mokgola. Their combined production creates an atmospheric backdrop that balances melodic passages with the rhythmic drive of Amapiano.

The featured artists add further energy to the track, helping it maintain momentum as the arrangement progresses. Rather than ending the EP with a short outro, “Phata Phata” gives One Day in Tembisa a full-length, dance-oriented finale.

As the closing track, the song rounds off Cooper SA and Tyler ICU’s six-track project with an immersive Amapiano groove. It leaves the EP on a high-energy note while reinforcing the production-heavy character that runs throughout One Day in Tembisa.
