Durban’s hard-hitting Gqom sound takes center stage on “Ngiphakamise,” a collaborative release from South African electronic producers Deejay Zebra SA and Dr Dope.
Officially released on August 1, 2026, the record delivers a forceful combination of deep bass, relentless percussion, and high-energy club rhythms.
The production stays rooted in the raw character of Gqom, using repetitive drum patterns, heavy low-end frequencies, and tightly arranged electronic elements to create a hypnotic dancefloor experience.
Sung in Zulu, the track runs for approximately five minutes and 41 seconds, giving the producers plenty of room to build and sustain its intense rhythmic momentum.
