South African music stars Lwah Ndlunkulu and MaWhoo join forces as Zulu Queens, launching their new partnership with “Distance,” a powerful debut single featuring rising vocalist Feza. Oficially released on August 19, 2026.
“Distance” blends traditional Maskandi influences with contemporary Afro-fusion, Amapiano, and electronic elements. Lwah Ndlunkulu brings a rich, culture-rooted Zulu vocal style, while MaWhoo adds her softer melodic touch. Feza further strengthens the collaboration with an expressive vocal contribution.
The song explores the emotions that come with distance in a relationship, touching on longing, romance, and the struggle to maintain a strong emotional connection when two people are physically apart.
The release also introduces the duo’s upcoming 14-track joint album, “Isithembu,” scheduled for August 28, 2026.
Released through a joint venture between Mawhoo Entertainment and Inkabi Records, with distribution by Sony Music Entertainment Africa, “Distance” sets the tone for what promises to be an ambitious new chapter from the Zulu Queens.
