A vigorously talented, award-winning Tanzanian Bongo Flava heavyweight, Mbosso, returns with a thoroughly spontaneous street-inspired record titled “Buku Jero,” officially released on August 6, 2026.
The WCB Wasafi artist delivers a heartfelt performance over production from Official Dadyoh, blending soulful melodies with the rich storytelling style that has become a defining part of his music.
The title “Buku Jero” comes from Tanzanian street slang, combining “Buku” (one thousand) and “Jero” (five hundred) to represent 1,500 Tanzanian Shillings.
However, the song’s message goes beyond money, as Mbosso reflects on his mother’s unconditional love, prayers, and support while addressing struggles, financial pressure, and the disappointment of people who hide behind fake smiles.
Directed by Fole X under the Watu Wa Fole production banner, the official visuals add more depth to the emotional story behind the track.
With its touching lyrics, relatable message, and Mbosso’s signature vocal delivery, “Buku Jero” stands out as another meaningful addition to his Bongo Flava catalog and a record that connects deeply with everyday listeners.
Listen to Buku “Jero,” a new song by Mbosso!
